What is building renovation and what are its steps?

As we know, buildings, like people and other objects, get worn out and old with the passage of time or become monotonous and need maintenance. Sometimes people don't want to change their place of living because of their attachment to a building and they want to keep it forever. One of the best things that can be done to preserve and maintain these buildings is the reconstruction or renovation of the building. This is one of the common methods of improving the quality of life, which, in addition to making the building beautiful and new and strengthening it, is also very affordable.

Reconstruction or renovation:

Reconstruction and renovation of the building is called a process that can change the facilities, exterior, interior and interior plan of the building and in addition to increase the strength and resistance of the building. It is even possible to change the type of use of the building. And it can be done in detail and in general.

But when we seek to find the concept of building renovation, we find that renovation and renovation are generally used interchangeably, when the two concepts are completely separate from each other.

Renovation or restoration means fixing problems, damages and beautifying dilapidated buildings whose main parts such as: roof, walls, columns, floor, etc. are still healthy and can be fully used with a good restoration, while renovation means total destruction of the building. It is old and the construction of a new building is complete.

Reconstruction can be partial or total. In partial renovation, we deal with works such as repairing the ceiling of the toilet and bathroom due to cracked old pipes or replacing faucets due to wear and tear, but in general renovation, the internal walls of the building may be damaged to change. The existing space or all plumbing, electrical outlets, faucets, mechanical installations (cooling and heating), stone, ceramics, wall color, etc. must be changed to make the environment more beautiful.

The advantage of building renovation over renovation is lower cost, faster implementation and less interference in the building composition due to lighter construction operations.
